Fitness Alternatives
As a Latina Entrepreneur, work life and home life may become a blur. With gyms having strict hours, the gym may not fit in your busy schedule. But open your eyes to a changing environment, some gyms are starting to make their hours more flexible even 24 hours a day. However, it may be difficult to get to a gym. So how do we fix this?
We fix this by using a variety of fitness alternatives! There are many ways to work out that do not include the deadly word “exercise” or going to a gym.

Dancing: Go get lessons for that dance style you always wanted to learn or improve your skills by joining a class that is a step above your ability.

Video Games: Dance Dance Revolution is a way to have fun, dance, and burn some calories. You could also purchase the Wii and Wii Fit. Wii Fit offers a variety of fitness programs you could to in the privacy of your home. Playstation has the Eyetoy camera where you could see how well you do certain workout routines. Eyetoy is helpful because it reflects your activities to show you how well or poorly you are doing something.

Stair Stepper: The Stair Stepper has a variety of uses. You could use it at home while preparing dinner or watching TV. The Stair Stepper is also convenient enough that you can take it on the go!

Now one of the cheapest ways is making the choice to walk the stairs as opposed to taking the elevator, walk to lunch instead of driving, walk or jog to clear your mind, practice your dancing abilities in front of your mirror on a regular, and/or take your dogs for longer walks.
The more you add physical activity to your daily routine, the better your health may become. Every little effort counts. Just because you did not drop ten pounds in a week does not mean it is not working. Let your metabolism speed up so that you can maintain your weight or lose weight. Remember nothing happens over night but with patience and diligence, it will happen!
